The time for rewards has almost come. After the announcement of the various nominees for the Ballon d’Or, FIFA has just revealed the long list of all those in the race to win the FIFA-The Best prizes which will be up for grabs (note that the list of candidates for the prize Puskas will be revealed on September 21) next winter.
As a reminder, the lists are decided by a panel of experts (11 women, 11 men) and the people cited below were chosen on the basis of their performances between August 1, 2022 and August 20, 2023. To elect the successors of Lionel Messi and Alexia Putellas, fans can vote today on FIFA platforms.

Concerning the FIFA Best Player award, we unsurprisingly find several players who shone during the last Women’s World Cup won by Spain. Note, however, that Putellas will not be a candidate for his succession (absent from the list) and that a Frenchwoman is part of the list (Kadidiatou Diani).
