The Los Angeles Lakers’ Talented Roster Faces Uncertain Future for the 2024-2025 Season

That the Los Angeles Lakers have one of the most complete and talented rosters in the NBA for the 2023-2024 season is an open secret.

In fact, for head coach Darvin Ham it will be essential to lead his team to at least fight fully to win the ring, since he may not have some important players for the 2024-2025 season.

Indeed, from the current Lakers roster, only one player who has an NBA contract will be an unrestricted free agent at the conclusion of the next fiscal year: forward Taurean Prince, who landed in the glamorous currency last July in exchange for one season and 4.5 million of dollars.

However, there are four other elements who will wear yellow and purple from the fall and who could opt out of their salary agreements during the following summer: shooter Cam Reddish, interns Christian Wood and Jaxson Hayes, and starting point guard D’Angelo Russell.

Although “D’Lo” returned to the Crypto.com Arena club months ago for two courses and US$37,000,000, said second exercise is part of a player option for 18.5 million in US currency.

Meanwhile, Reddish would return to the Lakers for the 2024-2025 NBA season if he exercises his clause for 2.4 million; situation identical to that of Hayes, while that of Wood is US$3,000,000.
