The Port of Santander will implement a new customs surveillance base |

The Port of Santander (Spain), under the direction of the Tax Agency, undertook to build facilities on the North Bank dock to house the maritime customs surveillance base.

Taking into account the urban planning requirements, since the required installation is located outside the building’s movement zone, the integration of a prefabricated and removable modular complex on two floors, with sufficient technical characteristics for the intended uses, has been organized. with a constructed area of 59 m² per floor, plus access to the first floor of approximately 14 m².

So, those responsible for the Cantabrian port area have launched the bidding procedure to execute a project that establishes the works to be carried out, as well as the conditions of provision of the contract for future works. Likewise, a technical document will be prepared that technically and economically assesses the supply, assembly, equipment and installations of the modular set.

The module will be composed of self-supporting metal, duly protected against oxidation in the saline environment to which it will be exposed, capable of resisting actions of all types according to current regulations.

In fact, the installer must offer a modular structure of approximately 110 m² of useful area and 115 m² of total constructed area that includes a gun closet, multipurpose room, office, toilets and office.

The initiative has an execution period of five days, a base bidding budget of 322,162.50 euros and an estimated contract value of 266,250 euros.
