Indonesia celebrated when they hosted Taiwan in the U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers, Saturday (9/9/2023). Appearing at Manahan Stadium, Indonesia won 9-0.

Football observer Justinus Lhaksana assesses that the Indonesian national team has changed quite significantly at this time. The man better known as Coach Justin said this was the result of hard work and comprehensive changes carried out by the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) under the leadership of Erick Thohir and Shin Tae-yong.
“The performance between PSSI and coaches is important, not just ketum, so that coaches can be free to work and produce positive results like now,” said Justin on Sunday (10/9/2023).
Justin believes that STY has received full support from Erick to form a team according to his wishes. Apart from that, STY also has full freedom in preparing the national team to face various competition events.
“PSSI provides facilities and coaches who work,” said the former coach of the Indonesian national futsal team.
Justin has long said that change is not always about winning. Most importantly, said Justin, STY has brought the national team’s level up by playing with more confidence in controlling the ball.
With thorough preparation and supported by an attractive playing pattern, Justin was not surprised if the U-23 national team won a landslide victory over Taiwan with nine goals without reply.
“It’s clear that STY’s work has results, not only from the score but also from the game, I’ve said that dozens of times,” said Justin.
“When it comes to positive trends, there will definitely be downsides because this is a process. The coach is not a magician, but as long as the trend increases, there’s no problem,” said Justin.
