After an excellent season, culminating with a third place in the standings and a lost preliminary round, Trastevere returns to play at home. In front they find Ostiamare, who obtained salvation in the last days of the previous championship.
In the first match of the championship, the Trastevere team lost on the Flaminia Civita Castellana pitch, while the Lido team came off a convincing victory against Gladiator.
Already an hour after kick-off, the first cars carrying fans from nearby Ostia can be seen on the road leading to the Trastevere Stadium.
The stands slowly begin to fill up and close to the kick-off the home stand is mostly filled, while in the away sector there are around 50 white and purple fans.
The guests start strong and their fans accompany the team with several claps and chants in response. They get particularly excited when halfway through the first half a penalty is awarded and scored in their favor and when at the end of the first half they double their lead and the team comes under the sector to celebrate the goal.
The home fans followed the match without notable shocks, perhaps even little stimulated by the performance of their teams, two goals down at half-time.
At the start of the second half the home team tried to shake things up with a couple of additions from the bench but halfway through the second half the Biancoviola scored 0-3 which ended the match. The away fans are delirious and spend the last minutes of the match cheering on their team.
At the end of the match the visiting team goes to embrace their fans under the away section.
Ostiamare ends the second day with full points and makes their supporters dream who in various situations wanted to remember the years of their never forgotten militancy in Serie C, a sign that they are the first to want to dream together with the team.
It’s a big defeat for the hosts, the team didn’t respond to the defeat on the first day and showed several shortcomings. He will have to work hard to get back to last year’s level.
