Munich – The euphoria after the good start to the season with two wins at the start of the new third division season has evaporated at TSV 1860 Munich. Due to the narrow 2-1 defeat against Aue, the lions lost their last three league games in a row and slipped down to twelfth place. During the international break, TSV now has to deal with the district league club DJK Hain in the Toto Cup.
DJK Hain against TSV 1860 in the Toto Cup
In the first two cup rounds of the association cup of the Bavarian Football Association, 1860 lived up to its role as favorite. In the first round there was an unchallenged 5:1 win against Stockheim, followed by a sovereign 6:0 against Aindling. 1860 is also the clear favorite against the district league team from Hain, but coach Maurizio Jacobacci still warns.
“Games are always good. We want to keep improving our game with the ball – it’s artificial turf, so precision is required. The goal is for us to develop as a team. So we will definitely have a good cast on the pitch,” said the lion coach – so the coach will probably not send a possible B-Elf onto the pitch. Recently, Lion President Robert Reisinger had sharply criticized the TSV 1860 course.
Löwen against district league the clear favorite for the quarterfinals
For the opponent, currently second in the Unterfranken West district league, it’s the classic “game of the year”, as it is for all of the Lions’ Totopokal opponents. The game is played on artificial turf at the Seebachtal sports grounds in Laufach-Hain. Around 1,500 spectators fit into the stadium there. The game will be sold out.
While the lions are struggling a bit in the league, things are going very well for DJK Hain in the six games of the season so far. With 16 points from six games, the DJK is tied in second place behind leaders SpVgg Hösbach-Bahnhof. In the Toto Cup, Hain won the game against the lions by beating the state league teams ASV Rimpar and TSV Karlburg. (LuHa)
