U-23 Indonesian National Team Fails to Win AFF U-23 Cup; PSSI Threatens Protest

tvOnenews.com – The U-23 Indonesian national team failed to win the AFF U-23 Cup after being defeated by Vietnam in a penalty shoot-out some time ago.

PSSI also threatened to send a letter of protest over the result and even criticized it for leaving the AFF.

However, it turned out that the Vice President of AFF, Francisco Jeronimo, revealed that he had not received a letter of protest from PSSI.

“Until today we haven’t (accepted). The AFF president told me if PSSI claims (feeling disadvantaged) okay, we will see and evaluate,” said Francisco, Thursday (31/8/2023).

Francisco ensured that AFF would continue to carry out evaluations, including the referees who complained about PSSI.

“AFF will also evaluate the matches that are already underway, then evaluate the referees, and prepare the teams and evaluate them in general so that we can improve them going forward,” said Francisco.
