The DFB Cup started the new season in August. The date for the draw for the second round is unusually late this season. The reason: The first round duels Preußen Münster against FC Bayern Munich (September 26th) and SV Wehen Wiesbaden against RB Leipzig (September 27th) still have to be played.

On Sunday (October 1st) the draw for the second round of the DFB Cup will take place at the Football Museum in Dortmund. The drawing starts at 7:10 p.m. and will be broadcast live from the ARD on free TV and broadcast free of charge in the live stream. As in the first round, there will be two different lottery pots.
The first draw pot consists of teams from the Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga. All teams that play in a lower league are in the second draw pot – including SV Sandhausen, who beat second division team Hannover 96 in the first round.
2nd round in the DFB Cup: When the games will take place
The second round of the DFB Cup will take place on October 31st and November 1st. The games in the round of 16 are scheduled for December 5th and 6th. (nwo)
