Adrian Peterson is one of the few players to be awarded the title of MVP of the season without playing the quarterback position.
In 2012, while wearing a Vikings uniform, “AP” finished the season with 2,097 rushing yards, eight shy of Eric Dickerson’s all-time rushing record.
