Massive participation of the Alba Shuttle Badminton team from Alba, at the highest Italian Badminton youth event.
14 people from Alba qualified, divided between the various categories: Grimaldi Francesco, Maghinici Thomas, Ronco Pietro, Roopak Leonardo, Arione Lucia, Frongia Matilde and Ferrero Sveva in the under 13, Cagnasso Federico, Fornaciari Ilaria and Protto Sofia in the under 17 and Fava Leonardo, Parusso Edoardo, Feciale Petra and Marengo Giulia in the under 19. This is the largest participation in the almost twenty-year history of the Langhe club, and where the Alba players were able to win 10 matches.
On the podium in this edition, the women’s doubles under 17 category, thanks to the superb performance that allowed Fornaciari Ilaria and Protto Sofia to win the bronze medal.
Piedmont also represented by “Boccardo Novi” (Nasir Ahmad) and “Il Punto Torino” (Lagasio Alessandro) thus scored a poker of bronze medals. For many players it was the first participation in the tricolors, and the precious experience will be very useful for their future sporting and educational growth. They overcame the emotion and were able to perform well in both the won and lost matches, highlighting the great effort put into the long preparation.
The club’s next important commitment will be the Italian overall and para-badminton championships scheduled for November also in Milan.
