Argentina won a match in which they had dominated the first two sets, but which became complicated as the game progressed. Facundo Conte was the Argentine top scorer with 21 points.

In the fourth set the team started erratically and the European team took a 7-4 lead, the Argentine team continued with many errors and Belgium increased the difference to six points to go ahead 17-11. Argentina improved in the game and got closer, but it would not be enough: the Belgians would take the set 25-21.
The tie-break began in favor of Belgium, which made a difference of two, but Argentina reacted and with two blocks from Zerba and a counterattack from Conte they turned it around 10-7. The European team came within one point, but Loser gave Marcelo Méndez’s team 13-11 and the same center back closed the game with an attack 15-13.
