-What goal did you set for judo for the Pan American Games?
-The challenge we set for these Pan American Games is to bring some medals. It is a challenge since it is a very young and growing team.

-Do you think they will surpass the records of Lima 2019?
-The idea is to overcome it. From what we saw in the Pan American last month, six fought for medals and the idea is to climb a new step.

-How do you define the Argentine team that will compete in Chile? What characteristics does it have and what are its greatest strengths and weaknesses?
-I define it as a team with a future. The greatest virtues are having great ambition. Everything that has to do with the drive of those who want to get there. That’s why I have great confidence in his performance. I don’t think they have any defects. His youth can play tricks on him, although they are preparing for it not to happen. Let’s hope that the weight of a large event like this does not diminish their capabilities.

-How was the preparation for the Pan American Games and at what level will the team reach?
-The team is growing. In August, four medals were won in Europe. In the continental events they won medals, including gold, so I see them very focused. The preparation was good. I estimate that they will arrive very well prepared.

-Who are the rivals with whom Argentina will fight for medals?
-The toughest rivals are Brazil, Cuba and Canada, but it depends a lot on each category. But without a doubt Brazil is the toughest.

-The coach of the Argentine rowing team, Pablo Susini, stated in an interview with Télam that “they will give satisfaction to the country” at the Pan American Games in Chile in October. And judo?
-Our desire and daily work is done for exactly the same thing: to bring satisfaction to the country. And I believe and we hope to be able to fulfill it.

-How were the team training sessions? How many days per week and how many hours per day?
-We train from Monday to Saturday in double and triple shifts according to the preparatory stage, with an average of five hours a day.
