Borussia Dortmund has temporarily suspended its greatest young talent, 17-year-old Paris Brunner, from training and games. The club did not give a reason for the drastic measure.
Borussia Dortmund have announced that young player Paris Brunner has been suspended. Accordingly, the 17-year-old attacker “will not take part in BVB games until further notice”. The fourth-placed team did not provide any information about the reasons for the measure. At the end of August, Brunner was awarded the Fritz Walter Gold Medal by the German Football Association (DFB) as the best young player of the 2006 class. He is considered a potential candidate to make the jump to the professional team.

The center forward has scored ten times in seven games in the U19 Bundesliga West and is leading the top scorer list. The super talent is one of the main reasons why the black and yellow A-youth are currently leading the table. Last year he became German champion in the age group. He also scored once in two games in the UEFA Youth League. He was successful 15 times in 18 international matches for the U17 national team. In 2020, Brunner moved from VfL Bochum to BVB.
