Neustadt/Weinstrasse. A previously unknown perpetrator in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse chose the wrong victim on Friday evening. The unknown man approached a 59-year-old on Rathausstrasse around 5:35 p.m. and demanded his wallet, the police said. Since the injured party did not respond particularly to this demand, the perpetrator tried to grab him by the neck in order to presumably use force to take the wallet.

He certainly didn’t expect the Neustadter’s resistance, as he brought him to the ground with a judo throw. The perpetrator then left the location limping. The injured party was not injured.
The next morning, the injured party was able to see the perpetrator again in the area of Rathausstrasse.

The male perpetrator is estimated to be around 35 years old. He is 1.80 meters tall with a full beard and medium-length black hair. On both days he wore a dark blue anorak, gray sweatpants and sneakers.
