Bringing Super League excitement in basketball to Muğla and Bodrum, Çağdaş Bodrum Sports aims to raise professional basketball players by encouraging talented children to do sports with the importance it attaches to infrastructure.

Çağdaş Bodrum Sports, which reached the Super League in basketball in a short time and brought this excitement to life in Bodrum and Muğla, instills the love of Basketball by providing infrastructure opportunities to young people and children. Bringing children together with sports, Çağdaş Bodrum Sports plans to discover young talents and train professional players.

Çağdaş Bodrum Sports Club has a total of 120 athletes in its academy and infrastructure in the U-10, U-12, U-14, U-16, U-18 categories. There are 120 athletes in the Çağdaş Bodrum Sports academy, which was established 6 months ago, and the number of female athletes is gradually increasing. The infrastructure includes 70 athletes and 18 athletes from the Basketball Youth League teams.

Infrastructure coordinator Onur Aksoy said, “Our work as Çağdaş Bodrum Sports infrastructure and academy continues intensively. Last year, we qualified for the regional championship as the U-16 Muğla champion in the local leagues in which we participated for the first time. One of our goals this year is to reach the Turkish Championship with our U-18 team.” This year, with the promotion of our A team to the super league, we established our BGL team and appointed Nehir Berk, who successfully coached the TED Colleges BGL team last year, as the head coach. Nehir is a coach who has serious experience in infrastructure and has sent many basketball players to professional leagues. Ahmet Erdoğan, who won the championship in the U-16 category last season, will serve as the assistant coach. As you know, we established the Academy 6 months ago and we currently have approximately 120 athletes. As the Academy, we have participated in local leagues in all categories and our long-term goal is to support our infrastructure and academy teams in the Muğla finals. “To see it as a rival,” he said.

Dağlarca Çağlar, the club president of Çağdaş Bodrum Spor Basketball, one of the new teams of the Turkish Insurance Basketball Super League, said, “Investing in our future has been one of our main goals since the day we started. We select successful young people, especially local children, and select U-10, U-12, U-14 We created U-16 and U-18 teams. We established an academy by offering school opportunities, without charging a large fee from these children and their parents, and even by covering their accommodation and 3 meals a day if they are outside Bodrum. In a way, we established an academy, which Banvit and Efes Pilsen implemented years ago. We are implementing the model. Our biggest dream, the most important thing that will make us happy, is to see a child from our infrastructure playing against big teams in 3-5 years. I think it is for us that a youngster from Çağdaş Bodrum Spor enters the national team or maybe the NBA. “It would be an incredible feeling for us. Our dream was to create an A team with infrastructure support. We have made significant progress in terms of facilities, which has an important place in the work we have carried out in this direction,” he said.
