The atmosphere at Zaventem airport was tense this morning. The customs staff decided around 8:30 am to conduct an inspection, even though it was very busy due to the start of the autumn holidays. The action, which lasted “only” until 10 am, caused long queues and angry passengers. “Imagine; you work at customs and you enjoy it, it’s difficult to go any lower,” complained a traveler on X.
