A day of satisfaction for Cus Siena Judo. In the beautiful setting of the Sala delle Lupe Yuri Ferretti receives from the hands of the Mayor Nicoletta Fabio the silver medal for athletic value obtained for sporting results in judo Kata. Ferretti will soon be competing in his third world championship. Also today in Brescia Muzzi Simone won an important Bronze medal in the 73 kg category at the Absolute A2 Championship. As the number one seed, he went through and dominated the Tuscan Macri in the second match. In the third match he crossed the Sicilian Belviso, Simone commands the match and brings his opponent to the ground and wins with an arm lock. In the fourth match Muzzi finds the Calabrian Garofalo who suffers Muzzi’s attacks and loses by strangulation. This match puts Muzzi through to the semi-final where he meets the Neapolitan Manuel Parlati (subsequently gold in the category), who immediately proves to be a tough opponent and wins over Muzzi by ippon. The Sienese then enters the final for third place. He meets the Turin athlete Posillipo, Muzzi is determined and pins his opponent to the ground, winning an excellent Bronze which allows him to access the Italian Absolute A1 Championships in Ostia. Cus Siena proves to be one of the strongest gyms in Tuscany, Maestro Cresti who followed Muzzi can be satisfied.
