European Tour A trio in the lead, Rozner 23rd

This Thursday began the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland. This tournament is played on three different courses over the first three days: Carnoustie Golf Links, Kingsbarns Golf Links and Old Course St. Andrews. The latter will welcome on Sunday the players who have managed to pass the cut after 54 holes. At the end of the first round on Thursday, three men are in control.

No vacation for Ryder Cup winners. Sacred in Rome a few days ago, three of them are present this week in Scottish lands. 23rd at -5, Matt Fitzpatrick made the best start of the three by returning a card of 67 (seven birdies, two bogeys). A little further, his compatriot Tommy Fleetwood is currently 45th (-3), after completing the Kingsbarns Golf Links course in 69 shots (four birdies, one bogey). With his score of 70 (three birdies, three bogeys, one eagle), local Robert MacIntyre follows in 60th position (-2).

The top of the leaderboard is dominated, at -8, by a trio made up of Peter Uihlein, Adri Arnaus and Sebastian Söderberg. Starting off with a bang (seven birdies on his first nine holes), the Swede then remained solid (two birdies, one bogey) to share the leadership chair with his two competitors. At the foot of the podium, the three men are followed by six golfers at -7.
