European Tour, Andalucia Masters Meronk victorious, three French people in the top 10

This Sunday was held, under some showers, the fourth round of the Andalucia Masters, in San Roque, in Spain. Adrian Meronk scored his fourth victory on the European circuit while three Frenchmen managed to climb into the top 10.

Everything had started so badly. Like his tournament started with a shy 72, Adrian Meronk seemed to have said goodbye to his chances of success after starting his fourth round awkwardly with two bogeys in three holes. However, the Pole reacted perfectly by concluding his first leg with two eagles. Then, the winner of the Italian Open last May followed up with four birdies on the return to score a 66, his second in a row, and confirm his fourth trophy on the DP World Tour (-16 total).

His runner-up, Matthias Schmid, has long occupied the top of the leaderboard alone. Under pressure throughout the day, the German ended up seeing Adrian Meronk come back to him, arriving at 16. The 25-year-old then made a bogey, his third this Sunday (for four birdies) which was fatal to him. Unable to score a final birdie on his last two holes to restart the game, the native of Regensburg had to settle for a score of 71 and second place (-15 total).
