Evan Fournier Looks to Regain Confidence and Impress in Preseason with the Knicks

Nailed to the bench last year for the Knicks, Evan Fournier has the right to express himself in this pre-season with playing time. Good news for the Frenchman, especially since he does not deprive himself to string together baskets like this Saturday evening, against the Wolves. Enough to make him integrate the rotation?

Determined to get playing time at only 30 years old, Evan Fournier wants to get his chance, whether with the Knicks or elsewhere. Tom Thibodeau’s recent comments were not really encouraging for the Frenchman and yet, he does not hesitate to give him minutes in this pre-season. Enough to allow Evan to express himself and make a few baskets.

Evan Fournier regains confidence in pre-season

On the floor this Saturday evening, against Rudy Gobert’s Wolves, Fournier took the opportunity to play 19 minutes for a total of 15 points at 6/10 shooting, in addition to 4 rebounds. There is a differential of -15 to note and a 121-112 defeat at the finish, but we will appreciate the fact that Evan showed aggression with his shooting. It’s not perfect, but maybe Tom Thibodeau could reconsider his choice.

It may take more to convince Thibodeau, but it’s clear that Fournier is trying to convince his coach, or teams potentially interested in his services, that he deserves his chance on an NBA floor. Some supporters are convinced of this, especially since his shooting remains a valuable asset for the Big Apple franchise.

He deserves a second chance. We need his three-point shot

He’s going to have a big year

Evan Fournier is regaining some confidence, while the Knicks need a pure 3-point shooter to hurt opposing defenses. A rather interesting scenario for the Frenchman, who is ready to join the rotation if necessary. But it’s always Tom Thibodeau who decides.
