He spent seven weeks scouring tournaments in China, from Zhuhai to Zhangjiagang via Guangzhou then Zhuhai again. And Arthur Weber is in his hotel room in Shanghai when he returns on the phone, Saturday evening, on his trajectory different from that of the others. He discovered the Masters 1000 facilities the day before and his voice, marked by its southern accent, still hums with pleasure. “It’s like a bit of Disneyland when you’re a kid,” laughs the 31-year-old, who describes the “very high-end” facilities and the “Shanghai Rolex Masters” flocked tarpaulins, the kind of detail that makes him dream.
