Tucker is a Labrador mix who almost flew over the rainbow bridge too soon. They wanted to kill him, but someone managed to save him. And he’s now the mascot of the Seattle Mariners
This is the story of Tucker, a Labrador mix puppy who literally went from rags to riches. He risked being put to sleep forever. It had to be suppressed. Then someone managed to save him. Tucker had to be put down. She had swallowed a stone. The dog could not expel it normally. He needed a delicate surgery, otherwise he risked dying. The former owners had no intention of paying the very high costs of the operation. So they decided to have the animal euthanized. An association in defense of animal rights, Orkan Dogs, heard about this story. The volunteers mobilized, adopted him and paid his veterinary expenses. Tucker was safe and happy. But where would he live?
And so the first miracle was followed by another. There company and the players of the Seattle Mariners, an American professional baseball team that plays in the West Division, read his story. And he decided to do what was in his power to save his life. Thanks to a solidarity competition, the new player of the team, who dresses the important role as mascot, has a new life. The Labrador crossbreed is loved by everyone: managers, players, supporters. He is now an integral part of the baseball team and everyone cheers for him too.

Scott Servais, manager of the sports team, welcomed the team’s choice to adopt that dog. He and his wife are volunteers for the animal rights association OrkanDogs. “The athletes immediately became fond of their new teammate and constantly cuddle him. His classic day is characterized by games of fetching the ball, other pastimes, runs and endless caresses.”.
