Treviso, 7 October 2023 – Queen for a night. After beating Carpegna Prosciutto Pesaro by the skin of their teeth, in fact, the Germani Brescia an encore is granted and PalaVerde wins by overwhelming Nutribullet Treviso with a peremptory 99-71. That of the Lombardy blue and whites was a real test of strength on both sides of the pitch, demonstrated by the excellent shooting percentages (51% from two and even 70% from three), but also by the six players who reached double figures: the prize for best scorer went to John Petrucelli who, in addition to the usual guaranteed solidity, scored 18 points with a surgical 3/3 in the long distance shot. Instead, there are 15 points each Seed Christon (in his personal scoresheet also 6 assists distributed to his teammates), CJ Massimburg e Amedeo Della Valle, invaluable with his triples in the third quarter, a moment in which Brescia put the turbo on and left the Nutribullet Treviso in place. An evening to forget, however, for Nutribullet Treviso, who failed to give continuity to the good things they showed, despite losing, against Milan and thus still remain at zero points: this evening the hosts in fact withstood the basically only for a while and thanks to the play of Ky Bowman, better than his team with 17 points on the scoresheet, but then they melted like snow in the sun after taking a 53-32 run in the second half. Still on the Treviso front, not even Pauly Paulicap’s 11 points and 10 rebounds were enough, as he had to deal with a foul problem for a long time.

Germani took the field with the right approach and, taking advantage of CJ Massimburg’s surgical shot from the arc (three triples on as many attempts) and already in double figures at the end of the first half, she tried to make an initial push. The opening half closed at +9 (24-15), the guests cleared the double-digit lead at the start of the second half, but Treviso had the strength to take the blow and remain standing clinging to the flashes of Ky Bowman and Pauly Palulicap which allowed the Nutribullet to catch the Germani at altitudea 33. The end of the half, however, was still Brescian in character: five close points from Massimburg launched a new push for Germani who, after having reached a new +10 at the height of a 10-0 lead, returned to the locker rooms with a treasure trove of seven points ahead (39-46). The turning point of the match, however, came in the third halfwhen Amedeo Della Valle also took part in the “triple festival” and, against three close torpedoes, he launched a Germani towards the escape which then never looked back and closed the score well in advance.
