Ice hockey: Salzburg defends ICE table lead – sport.ORF.at

The Graz team had won the last three home duels with the “Bulls”, the bottom of the table once again took the lead through Sam Antonitsch (29th/PP). Lucas Tahler (35′) and Chay Genoway (39′) each turned the game around with goals between goalkeeper Lars Volden’s pads in the middle third. In the finish, the Styrians were unlucky with a shot from the pole by Anthony Salinitri.

The KAC suffered another defeat with a 1:2 after a penalty shootout at the Pioneers Vorarlberg after four wins. The early Carinthian lead by Marcel Witting (3rd) was quickly equalized by Guus van Nes (9th/PP), after which the penalty shootout went without goals, in which Vorarlberg prevailed.

Two days after the spusu Vienna Capitals ended their nine-game losing streak with a surprise win against the reigning champions from Salzburg, the Viennese had to admit defeat to the runner-up. In the home game against HCB Südtirol Alperia, Trevor Cheek (27th/PP) was able to equalize the Bozen team’s lead, but in the final third the South Tyroleans confidently prevailed against the team of interim coach Christian Dolezal.
