JESI Convicted for hiding drugs in the house, acquitted for hitting his love rival with a baseball bat. Thus ended the trial of a 34-year-old from Jesi, who ended up in trouble on 15 May 2017 after a furious argument with a peer over matters of the heart. The brawl broke out at the home of the accused, who was sentenced to one year in prison for detention for the purpose of dealing. He was defended by the lawyer Ennio Tomassoni.

The facts
The chaos in the 34-year-old’s home had broken out due to a sort of score-settling with the ex-boyfriend of the girl he was seeing at the time. He was a girl and she had recently told him of her intention to try again with her ex. The decision had pushed the 34-year-old, at least that’s what she said in court, to steal her sunglasses. Thus, the ex showed up at the defendant’s house to clarify the situation once and for all and retrieve the glasses. It didn’t end well. Because the prosecutor’s office accused the 34-year-old of having held a baseball bat and hitting the other boy on the head, who ended up in the emergency room and then discharged with a ten-day prognosis. “He was the one who hit me with his fists and elbows,” the man from Jesi told the judge. The screams and noise of the fight prompted the neighbors to call the police. The police officers immediately rushed to the scene: they found the accused with the baseball bat and the other boy with a bloody head.
The kidnapping
It’s not all. Drugs had emerged from the search: the police had got their hands on a small quantity of cocaine and eight plants of marijuana, a substance grown personally by the 34-year-old. The drugs had been seized and the owner of the house had been reported for possession for the purpose of trafficking and personal injury. Yesterday only this last accusation was dropped.
