UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – A total of 41 Penn State football alumni are populating the rosters of 25 National Football League organizations. The Nittany Lions annually rank among the top 20 programs nationally in producing players in the NFL.

Joey Porter Jr. shined for the Steelers in their win over the Ravens. The rookie received PFF’s highest coverage grade (91.4) among cornerbacks in week five, a performance capped off by his first NFL interception. Nick Scott continued his strong defensive effort, collecting three more tackles in the Bengals’ win over the Cardinals. He is tied for eighth among safeties in the NFL in total tackles with 37. Kevin Givens had an outstanding game on the 49ers defensive line. He recorded the first sack of his 2023 season and picked up the second fumble recovery of his career in San Francisco’s big win.

Jordan Stout, and the newly-signed Arizona Cardinal Blake Gillikin, punted well for their respective teams in week five. Stout pinned the Steelers inside the 20-yard line three times and is now tied for third in the NFL in punts inside the 20 with 11. Gillikin averaged 54.8 yards per punt in his first game with Arizona.
