Discreet but expensive!
DFB coach Julian Nagelsmann (36) was a fashionable eye-catcher with his eye-catching lumberjack shirt in the national team’s 3-1 win against the USA.
Before his second appearance, the big question was: What kind of outfit is the ex-Bayern coach wearing against Mexico?

500 euro jacket instead of a lumberjack shirt!
The answer: Nagelsmann comes to the TV interview on ARD before kick-off in a simple, white DFB training jacket. But his game outfit looks different!
Later, the 36-year-old enters the pitch in a blue knitted jacket made of 100% merino wool from the outfitter van Laack, wearing a blue shirt with a turtleneck underneath. Cost of the chic blazer: 499.95 euros.

BILD asked Nagelsmann about his outfit before the Mexico game. He grinned: “It was from our outfitter, I liked it. There was a bit too much fanfare about it. I’m not wearing it again because I agreed to auction it off for charity. That makes me feel more happy than if you all wrote about the shirt.”
The shirt will be auctioned off at the RTL telethon.

Aside from the new national coach’s choice of outfit, there was already excitement before the game kicked off.
Because: The kick-off was postponed by 15 minutes to 2:15 a.m. German time. The reason was traffic chaos with increased travel volumes around the stadium in Philadelphia (USA).
The buses of the two teams were stuck in traffic because of the arriving fans, and at the same time as the DFB team, the Philadelphia Flyers (ice hockey) and the Philadelphia Phillies (baseball) were playing their games in the immediate vicinity.
Nagelsmann before kick-off on “ARD” about the journey: “A lot of traffic. There are still games around, baseball, NHL too. Therefore: three stadiums that need to be filled. Many vehicles. That’s why we came a little late.”
