Junior Lake on Course to Make Stolen Base History in Dominican League

SANTO DOMINGO.-Junior Lake with two steals tonight will equal Mateo Rojas Alou in seventh place in the stolen bases department of the Dominican League.

Lake, 33 years old, who is the active player with the most steals, has 99 stolen bases and with two more he will tie with Mateo Rojas Alou (101) and set his sights on Bernardo Tatis (113).

He is followed by Rafael Landestoy (121), Freddy Guzmán (140), Luis Poland (184), Esteban Germán (193) and the historical leader (395).

On Sunday night he hit his second home run of the season in the Leones’ 4-7 loss to the Toros at the Francisco Micheli Stadium in the city of La Romana.
