LeBron James Prepares for a New NBA Season After Son’s Health Scare

A season for his son, and to go to the Olympics with exceptional teammates like Kevin Durant and Steph Curry who have already given their support.

LeBron James is preparing to live his twenty-first season in the NBA, the first that begins after a moment of great fear experienced during the summer: last July his son Bronny had a cardiac arrest, now he is better and has begun the path of rehabilitation.

LeBron had raised suspicions that he intended to leave basketball after the disappointment at the end of last season: he is 38 years old, even though he had his best figures ever in the playoffs. With a cool head he thought about it again: “I feel different, I’m not the 21 year old I always am, that’s for sure. It’s a little different getting out of bed every day. But I’m happy right now, I’m excited.” Although his way of seeing life has changed after Bronny’s illness: “There is nothing else that matters, apart from my family. Obviously I will dedicate this season to Bronny because of the accident that happened this summer, understanding this puts everything in a different perspective, regardless of what happens.” Bronny is now healthy and aims to play in college with the University of Southern California this season.
