The presentation of the Ecomarathon of the Carolina Aqueduct will be held on Thursday 19 October at 11am in the Art Meeting Room of the Royal Palace of Caserta.
The third edition of the running race will take place on Sunday 5 November 2023. The competition takes place between two provinces, that of Benevento and that of Caserta, promoting knowledge of the route of the engineering work designed by maestro Luigi Vanvitelli, and reaches the finish line in Flora Gardens of the Royal Palace of Caserta.
The Ecomarathon of the Carolino Aqueduct is organised, with the collaboration of the Royal Palace of Caserta, by the ANFI of Maddaloni, by the ASD Suessola Runners of S. Maria a Vico and by the ASD Power of Casagiove in collaboration with the UISP of Caserta and the Royal Palace of Caserta, with the patronage of the Provinces of Caserta and Benevento and the Municipalities of Caserta, Airola, Bucciano, Moiano, Sant’Agata dei Goti, Durazzano, Valle Di Maddaloni, S. Maria a Vico, Maddaloni, of the Dea Diana Park and of the Taburno Mountain Community. The collaboration of the forestry plumbers of the Province of Caserta is fundamental for the care and cleaning of the route.7
Present at the press conference, moderated by the journalist Lucia Grimaldi, will be the director of the Royal Palace of Caserta Tiziana Maffei, the provincial councilor delegate for Forestry and Civil Protection Angelo Campolattano, the president of the Comunità Montana Monte Taburno Gennaro Caporaso, the president of the ANFI section of Maddaloni Giuseppe Farina, the president of the Dea Diana Park Andrea Pirozzi and the provincial commander of the Caserta Financial Police Nicola Sportelli.
Together with the news and routes of this race, the solidarity aims of the event will also be presented, which, with its proceeds, will give the opportunity to a group of children with autism spectrum disorder to fly from Capua airport to the Royal Palace of Caserta.
