Romain Grosjean launches proceedings against the Andretti team

In a message published Wednesday on his X account (formerly Twitter), Romain Grosjean announced that he had launched “arbitration proceedings in Indiana against Andretti Autosport, in order to protect my rights. »

The Frenchman has just spent two seasons with the American team in Indycar. This year, after encouraging first races and a 5th place in the Championship at the end of April, his results were then more mediocre and he finally concluded the season in 13th place, with slightly fewer points than in 2022. In August , Andretti announced the commitment of Marcus Ericsson for next year and Grosjean was not retained. His future in Indycar remains unclear.

In the same message, the Frenchman also summarizes his time with Andretti: “I enjoyed working with the Indycar team, and I am proud of the successes we achieved over two seasons. I am grateful for the friendships I have been able to develop at the highest level of American racing. I expected to continue with Andretti Autosport in the years to come. I’m disappointed that’s not the case, and I wish everyone on the team the best. I am considering other options to continue my career in Indycar. »
