The Boulonnais, 148th player in the world, defeated the Australian Jordan Thompson, 62nd in the ATP, in three sets (6-3, 3-6, 6-1) and a little over an hour and half of the game (1h24 precisely). Terence Atmane’s success is all the more remarkable as the game seemed to slip through his fingers. While leading 6-3, 3-1, the Frenchman conceded five games in a row to see Thompson equalize at one set all. Worse: the dynamic threatened to swing definitively in favor of the Australian when at 1-1 in the last act, he obtained three consecutive break points at 0/40.
