on October 14 in Jūrkalne at At 7.00 the 13th festival in sea fishing from the shore and the 12th Latvian championship in sea fishing in the folk class will begin. The purpose of the event is sea fish fishing, exchange of experience, as well as determination of the best Latvian athletes and teams in this fishing sport discipline.
About 90 teams with two participants each will take part in the competition. The highest place in the Latvian championship will be won by the team with the heaviest role, the total weight of each team’s role will be evaluated. First, second or third place teams will receive commemorative awards and the winning team will receive a traveling trophy. Surprise prizes will also be presented at the award ceremony. The chief judge of the competition is Egīls Draudiņš.
On the day of the event, at Vējturi House from 15 will have the opportunity to shop at the market and participate in contests together with sea border guards Hektor and Vektor from Visby. at At 16.00 a concert party is planned, where Jānis Narkevics junior, Jānis Narkevics senior and Arvis Sanders will perform, while at 19 at Vējturi nama will reward the participants and winners of the competition.
