The Joys and Observations of Exercising Outdoors: Insights from a Brunch Article

I enjoy exercising outdoors. I wrote about it on Brunch, and if you’ve read it, you’ll know.

Whether it’s cold or hot, the only difference is the number of clothes. The problem is that when it is too cold, the phone has a hard time withstanding it and the battery drains quickly. As summer approaches, I am working hard every day by increasing the intensity of my exercise. When I exercise in an apartment complex, I can see the behavior patterns of more people around me than I thought.

1. Grandmother peeling garlic

Inside the place where I exercise, that is, inside the badminton court, there is a pavilion. Although it is not completely open, it is a place where you can do something comfortably. Personally, if you include the advantage of being a non-smoking area (to me), I think it is the most comfortable pavilion in the apartment complex. It was a great place to chat, and the old lady only showed up once when the weather was really nice and the sun was shining brightly. Actually, I don’t really remember her face. Anyway, this may seem common, but I remember it because I think it is something that happens every day and is special. I’ve peeled garlic a few times, and my hands and eyes are sore that it’s quite tiring, but if I do it with the wind and the sky as my friends, it seems like it can be done with less mental and physical effort. So, I think her grandmother probably picked that place up and came out as well.

2. Girls engaging in various physical activities

It seems like boys would like it more when it comes to sports activities, but after watching them while exercising, I think differently. Girls seem to enjoy a greater variety of physical activities. Ball games are the basics, and there are various types such as dodgeball, soccer, and baseball. Baseball can even be enjoyed by two people bringing a toy-like baseball bat and throwing and hitting it. However, when boys or older sisters come by, they move to a corner. Black…

He imitates the iron bar next to me, and sometimes shows me the magic of climbing up the three-stage iron bar. (First of all, I don’t think I can do it.) After observing myself, I try to do ‘pull-ups’ or ‘muscle-ups’* with curiosity, thinking ‘I wonder if I can do it as an adult.’ Strangely, boys don’t come near or follow suit. Is it a matter of activity or curiosity… Sometimes I feel like I’m scared because I’m wearing black clothes, a mask and a hat, but then what about the girls??

3. Boys enjoying soccer and bicycles

As is the case in other neighborhoods, ball games such as baseball and soccer are strictly restricted due to the possibility of damaging apartment windows or vehicles. Rather than strictly… it seems like it is impossible for the security guards to monitor all of this, so they impose sanctions as much as possible. Still, you may have heard a few warnings, but the kids somehow manage to play ball. As long as it’s not excessive, it’s a hundred times better than using a computer or phone at home. While playing hustle, you laugh, cry, have fun, and play with the ball dynamically. In addition, most people ride bicycles when not playing ball, but four-wheeled bicycles are not found at all. When I was young, I often rode four-wheeled bicycles, and the biggest reasons were my lack of motor skills and the dangers. Skateboards and inline skates were also difficult for me because I have trouble maintaining balance. I still can’t ride it. Young people these days all ride bicycles twice as big as themselves, showing great courage and athleticism. You can’t even touch the ground… I think the sales rate of four-wheeled bicycles is probably very low. Oh, of course, you can ride a two-wheeled bicycle now. I learned something from China, which has a rough transportation environment. It also requires adversity.

4. Those who practice walking every day

There is a man who looks to be about 40 to 50 years old, and he always walks around the apartment with a cane on his bad legs. To be exact, I think it’s the right leg. I could tell because he walked with a cane on his left side. I tend to exercise about 4 days a week, but recently I am increasing it to 6 days. This is because I feel like I need to make my body, which is always tense due to job preparation, more flexible through outdoor activities. Anyway, every time I go out to work out, around 5 PM, he walks around my apartment or comes to the badminton court where I work out and does several laps. I don’t know exactly how many laps it is because I go around once and half a circle several times. I think I did at least 6 laps, but I have a hard time getting out every day even with a healthy body, so I really admire the will to lead an uncomfortable body and come out. Maybe he comes out every day?

5. Future female idols taking short-form photos?

Actually, I don’t know if I should call it a reel or shorts or where I am dancing to upload it. But anyway, the girls are dancing with their smartphones. However, after seeing not just one group but several groups taking pictures, I realized that the short form had a greater influence than I thought. What I found out was that I put a lot of effort into filming. I perform one exercise for close to 30 minutes, and seeing how much time I spend on one short form until the end, it seems like I filmed with all my passion for quite a long time. The kids aren’t clumsy, and they seem to be dancing better than expected… but I’m not staring at them. I only know it because I catch a glimpse of it during break time. Anyway, the future of K-pop looks bright, perhaps thanks to the effect of the short form. This is how you can let your artistic talent bloom…

I looked into these five things, but honestly, I don’t think I’ll read them all if it’s too long. Even though I wrote this much, you may already click the like button and not see it, or you may not click the like button and not read it. Since the brunch article is not a paper book, I am trying to follow the short form as much as possible. You may be curious, but I’ll see you again next time with part 2.
