The Plaza sisters took second place in the T1N category and eleventh place in the general classification of the sixth round of the Spanish All-Terrain Rally Championship (CERTT) held this weekend in the town of Cifuentes (Guadalajara).
After scoring points in a tough test, the Avatel team continues to maintain the national leadership in a Championship that appears very tight.
Almost seventy teams met in one of the most anticipated races of the season that took place through the Alcarria mountains and in which navigation was a fundamental part of being in the top positions.
“It has been a race with quite a few setbacks. In the first stage we went without intercoms and the conversation with Marta was complicated, even though she did great. In addition, the dust and the sunset made it difficult for all the participants to see,” he points out. Monica Plaza.
“Despite this, we are very happy with the race we did,” adds the Avatel driver. “We knew it was a pretty groundbreaking race and we had to keep going. Now we have to give everything in Cuenca to win the Spanish Championship.”
A decisive race
The last event will be held on October 20 and 21 at the Cuenca TT Rally. A very special test for the Avatel Racing Team that will put an end to a contest that has yet to be decided.
