The investigation into the death of Matthew Perry continues by the Los Angeles police after the death of the 54-year-old actor was reported.
As the hours pass, new details of the circumstances surrounding the death of the beloved ‘Friends’ actor become known.
Prescription drugs found in home where Matthew Perry died
The first news reports indicated that there appeared to be no illegal drugs in the house where Matthew Perry was found dead.
There were no signs of violence either, however, TMZ detailed on the morning of this Sunday, October 29, that supposedly “numerous prescribed drugs (or medications) were found in the house,” according to “police sources” cited by that medium.
“Authorities found antidepressants, anxiolytics and a COPD medication in the house,” the outlet revealed.
COPD is the abbreviation for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. According to TMZ, the medication found in the home of Matthew Perry, who smoked throughout his life, “is often used in people who have emphysema or chronic bronchitis.” It is also known that the artist struggled for years with addictions after the success of ‘Friends’.
“The Los Angeles County coroner will conduct a toxicology test to determine if there were any drugs in Perry’s system, but that could take months,” the celebrity portal noted.

TMZ also revealed what the actor allegedly did just a few hours before he was found unconscious in a hot tub.
In the morning, he allegedly left to play “2 hours of pickleball at the Rivera County Club near his home in Pacific Palisades.”

Matthew Perry is remembered for his character Chandler Bing in ‘Friends’, a series that made him fight addiction due to the success he experienced in it.
Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, paddle tennis, badminton and table tennis.
TMZ sources assured that the actor was in a “good mood” during the game.
After apparently being at the club, he reportedly returned home and “asked his assistant to buy him a new iPhone and prescription glasses.” The person who helps him supposedly went out to carry out these errands.
“Two hours later, the assistant returned to Perry’s house and found him unconscious in the hot tub and called 911,” TMZ described.
“Our sources say that after calling 911, the deputy called Perry’s mother and a brother, along with an unrelated woman.”
This Sunday morning, the portal published 29 photos of the actor’s parents arriving at the artist’s house hours after his death was announced.
Her father is actor John Bennett Perry and her mother, Suzanne, was press secretary to Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau and is married to ‘Dateline’ correspondent Keith Morrison.
