The MagNet group is preparing for the winter season with a double appointment: the second edition of the Winter Business Days, in the wake of an excellent debut in January 2023, and the first edition of Skimofestival. Two events that further strengthen the bond with the outdoor and winter sports sector, involving the entire community: companies, agents, shops, media and operators in general, as well as the final public.
Yes, because if the Winter Business Days will continue to be aimed solely at sector operators, during Skimofestival brands and shops will be involved together with ski mountaineering enthusiasts in a B2C event. All this will also be made possible thanks to the new and strategic partnership with Skimodays, an event born in 2022 dedicated entirely to ski mountaineering, which will join the MagNet group for these two highly anticipated winter events. Which have already received confirmation of their presence from many of the most important brands.
A collaboration implemented by wisely and constructively incorporating the various wishes and suggestions from the market, with the aim of optimizing efforts and resources on the part of the operators, who will thus be able to concentrate for the b2b part on a single large event, such as WBDAYS. Even more important, rich and participatory, which will involve all winter sports like last year but where ski mountaineering will play a central role and will be a great protagonist with workshops, clinics, tests and exclusive experiences. Important topics such as skimoparks and their possible and desirable development in Italy will also be put under the spotlight, as well as the topic of ski mountaineering at the Olympics.
Where, how, when
The WBDAYS will take place from 28 to 30 January 2024 in the town of Ponte di Legno – Tonale, between Trentino and Lombardy. A perfect area to host the event, ideal for both alpine skiing and ski mountaineering, as well as all other winter disciplines. The event will offer a very rich and unmissable programme, condensed into three days and thanks to the presence of two villages, one indoor and one outdoor, this year open at complementary and differentiated times. All the details will be revealed shortly with a specific press release.
Skimofestival will instead take place in Santa Caterina Valfurva – Bormio from 15 to 17 March 2024. It will be a unique opportunity for ski mountaineers of all levels to try the new products on the market, experience the new trends underway, meet athletes and testimonials. The test village will be set up in Santa Caterina, in a perfect and strategic position for ski mountaineering activities. Also in this case the detailed program and the numerous other planned activities will be communicated soon.
The program
For WBDAYS, the Indoor Expo Village will be open on Sunday all day and on Monday until 2pm. The Outdoor Test Village, on Monday from 12pm to 8pm (complete with an illuminated evening track dedicated exclusively to participants) and on Tuesday until 4pm. Expected exhibitions and presentations, test activities and guided experiences, as well as the inevitable evening party.
Why participate?
The WBDAYS, even if only in their second edition, have already established themselves as a point of reference for the industry. For companies and their agents it is an important moment to consolidate and build loyalty in the relationship with their stores, but also to insert new ones within their distribution network. For the shops, however, it will be an important opportunity to learn about the products, test the new products and meet company representatives directly. Finally, for all operators, it is an opportunity to feel part of the same community and look towards the future together with optimism and sharing.
