2023 European Judo Championships: Defending Champions Shine and Russian Judoka Compete as Neutrals

The 2023 European Judo Championships took place from November 3rd to November 5th, 2023 at the Sud de France Arena in Montpellier, France. A total of 386 athletes from 46 countries took part in the event. Medals were awarded in 14 weight classes (7 each for men and women). Alina Böhm, Shirine Boukli, Romane Dicko, Marie-Ève ​​Gahié and Hidayət Heydərov were able to defend their titles from last year.

In contrast to the previous year, Russian judoka were allowed to compete, but only as neutrals.
