Alfonso Gualtieri
The president of the Neptune Lions baseball Alfonso Gualtieri was elected in Rome as the new president of the regional baseball and softball committee. He takes over from the outgoing president who had resigned before the expiry of the office, scheduled for the autumn of 2024. Alfonso Gualtieri was elected with 427 votes out of 427, as the only candidate, a point of reference for the Lazio movement. This is a bridge presidency. The new president will in fact remain in office until after the Paris 2024 Olympics, when all the federations will be called to renew the presidencies of the regional committees. A prestigious position that saw the entire regional sports movement converge on his name.
