KOMPAS.com-Former Governor of North Sumatra Edy Rahmayadi almost became a victim of crowd rage after the Persiraja Banda Aceh and PSMS match at Harapan Bangsa Stadium, Banda Aceh, Saturday (19/11/2023) evening.
The incident started when Edy came to Persiraja Management after receiving news that PSMS players had been thrown at bottles.
He had asked Persiraja Management to be responsible for this incident.

Edy was seen talking in a high tone with several people at the front of the stadium.
“Play ball yes, play ball. Players should not be disturbed,” shouted Edy after the match at Harapan Bangsa Stadium, Banda Aceh, Saturday night.
A number of Persiraja supporters, who had gathered at that place at that time, were agitated when they saw Edy getting angry.
They were also seen involved in pushing and shoving while shouting at Edy.
Seeing that the conditions were not conducive, the police immediately secured Edy in his car to immediately leave the stadium.
A few minutes later, the audience, who had been calmed down by Persiraja Management, left the stadium one by one.

The audience’s annoyance at the point of throwing bottles started when Persiraja’s goal was disallowed by the referee because it was considered off-side.
