Caguas Hosts the Third Annual Thanksgiving Baseball Classic, Featuring 49 Teams from Puerto Rico and the United States

Caguas will once again be the center of attention during the third edition of the “Thanksgiving Baseball Classic” starting November 20.

It represents the largest baseball tournament in Puerto Rico. In the first year, 18 teams participated, this year 49 teams from both the island and the United States have been confirmed.

The Caguas Softball and Baseball Unit reported that teams from Carolina, Caguas, Bayamón and Gurabo, in addition to Texas and Florida, are registered, divided into categories that begin at eight years of age up to 16.

In the 13-14 category, the La Makina team will see action, sponsored by Toronto Blue Jays pitcher José Berríos. In the Under 16 team there will be Team Sugar, led by New York Mets pitcher Edwin “Sugar” Díaz.

The parks that will be ready for this event in their different categories will be:

Villa Blanca Park – Sub8

Eastern Sports Recreation Complex Park – Sub9

Monagas ball park – 11-12

Notre Dame Park – Sub13

Parque Caguax – U14

Los Campeones Park – 15-16

Solá Morales Park (High School)

The matches will be broadcast on Facebook Live, Radio Tiempo 1430 AM and WAPA Deportes.
