Chile Celebrates 16th Gold Medal at Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games

Jaime Aránguiz presented gold medal number 16 to Chile after winning the Para badminton final in Santiago 2023. Aránguiz defeated the Brazilian Julio César Godoy in the WH2 category in two sets: 21-15 and 21-11 respectively.

With this result, Team Para Chile accumulates 51 medals: 16 gold; 20 silver and 15 bronze.

This gold is added to that obtained yesterday. Wheelchair tennis ended its competitions this Saturday, with a new gold medal for Team ParaChile at the Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games that end today, Sunday, November 26.

It was not an easy match. The Chilean duo of Francisco Cayulef and Diego Pérez He fought against the Brazilians Yamnitu Silva and Leandro Pena to win the gold medal, overcoming a result that was against him at the beginning.

After almost 10 days of competition, the Parapan American Games end today. Road cycling and adapted badminton will be the only sports that will see action this Sunday to define the last medals.
