Clashes between Brazilian police and Argentine Boca Juniors fans gathered on Copacabana beach. Anticipation is heating up for the final on Saturday 4 November of the Copa Libertadores (the top South American football competition for club teams, the equivalent of the European Champions League) between the team and Fluminense. And Copacabana beach, in Rio de Janeiro, became the scene of a real battlefield: tension rose when around a hundred Fluminense supporters invaded the fan zone set up for Boca Juniors supporters. To disperse the crowd, officers used rubber bullets and tear gas.
