The Colombian Football Federation (FCF) reported this Sunday that full-back Deiver Machado will not be able to play with the national team against Paraguay due to “physical discomfort that prevents him from being in full condition.”

“The medical department of the national team carried out the relevant examinations and waited for the evolution of the player’s health status, confirming the injury suffered, a situation that was reported to the athlete’s club,” the FCF said in a statement.

The Colombian winger will miss the match against Paraguay in Asunción, and will return to France in the next few hours to recover with his team, Racing Club de Lens.

This is the second loss suffered by the Colombian team in its duel with Paraguay, after Davinson Sánchez could not be part of the squad due to an accumulation of yellow cards.
