Betclic ÉLITE – While Kevin Kokila and Frédéric Fauthoux were not sanctioned following the incidents of November 11 in Pierre-Ratte, Saint-Quentin Basketball received a fine of 1,000 euros, and a suspended sentence. The Axon club protests against an “unfair” decision.
The sum is symbolic: 1,000 euros. Plus another 1,000 euros of suspended sentence, in the event of a repeat offense. But it is going badly for Saint-Quentin Basketball, the only club sanctioned by the disciplinary committee of the National Basketball League after the incidents of November 11 against Bourg-en-Bresse (92-61).
Excluded after a gross foul on Will Rayman, Kevin Kokila had a chaotic return to the locker room, between tense exchanges with the Pierre-Ratte public and an altercation with a security agent. The Angolan international was not punished by the LNB, which was unable to characterize the offense. On the other hand, after being interviewed on Monday, the SQBB was fined 1,000 euros, presumably for security failures.

“It’s a feeling of injustice”castigates Laurent Prache, the Picardy president, to Aisne Nouvelle. “We are sanctioned, we are recognized as being wrong while JL Bourg, nothing! Everyone who was in the room that day saw the same thing and the commission remained focused on what makes us bear responsibility. It’s incomprehensible. » The club will not appeal this decision.
