The good news from the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games does not stop. This Friday Daniela Rojas won the bronze medal in the 400 meters hurdles.
The Tica clocked a time of 57.41, behind the winner Gianna Woodruff of Panama (56.44) and the Brazilian Marlene Santos (57.18).
“We hit her very hard until the end and since we were 150 we had been fighting with the girl from Brazil. This season has been long and this was the idea to come fight and get on the podium,” explained the athlete.
The continental competitions have been beneficial for the Costa Rican contingent, which already has eight medals.
