Dimitrov manages to take revenge on Medvedev in Paris

Vienna finalist Daniil Medvedev was eliminated in round two of the Masters 1000 tennis tournament in Paris on Wednesday. The Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov needed seven match points to take revenge against the world number three from Russia with 6:3 6:7 (4/7) 7:6 (7/2) for the Vienna round of 16 defeat. Dimitrov will now face Kazakh Alexander Bublik in the round of 16.

Stefanos Tsitsipas is also in the quarterfinals. The Greek, seeded number seven, won his opening game against Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime 6:3 7:6 (7/4) after a bye in the first round.

The Lower Austrian Dominic Thiem will play against the Danish defending champion Holger Rune (6) for the round of 16 not before 7.30 p.m.
