The 16-year-old judo fighter dreams of competing at the 2028 Olympics. She finished fifth at the European Cup, although she went to the mat with a large handicap.

There are athletes who impress spectators not only with their performance, but above all with the fact that they compete – even though they are actually injured. The most famous example is goalkeeper Bert Trautmann, who played for Manchester City in the 1956 cup final despite breaking his neck. Since he would have celebrated his 100th birthday a few days ago, the story has recently appeared increasingly in the media. The discus thrower Lars Riedel also faced his opponents at a world championship, although a knee injury, which was visible to everyone, was causing him massive pain.
