Ethan Rooms Overcomes Tragedy and Pushes Forward in Cycling

“Dad wasn’t very keen for me to ride anymore”

A little over a year ago, in September 2022, Ethan Rooms experienced a terrible tragedy, with the death of his mother, following a fall during a walk with family and friends. But he didn’t let it get him down. “Dad wasn’t too keen on me riding anymore. He was very afraid that something would happen to me. I mainly did home training.“

After a few last bibs as cadets, on the MTB races of the Namur CX Challenge, Ethan Rooms will discover the junior category next season. “I will still especially go for the G-Skin, I love the spirit of the challenge, its conviviality, its fair playhe notes. The podium seems playable to me. This year, I was often on par with Colin Schneder. I will also do Wallonia Cups, more technical than the G-Skin, not for the results but to progress, and one or the other marathons, like the GRG.“
