Harden Traded to Clippers, Curry Shines in MVP Form, and More NBA News

The Harden drama is over, the guard was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. Plus, Steph Curry is already in MVP form to start the season. All news in the update.

Harden traded to the Clippers

The drama is over: James Harden is moving from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Los Angeles Clippers. Adrian Wojnarowski confirmed the agreement between the two teams early on Tuesday morning. PJ Tucker and Filip Petrusev are moving to Los Angeles with the 34-year-old. In return, Marcus Morris Sr., Robert Covington, Nicolas Batum and KJ Martin go to Philadelphia. The Clippers also add a 2028 first-round pick, two second-round picks and a pick swap on top. To make the deal possible, the Sixers also released veteran Danny Green.

After months of drama, Harden finally got his way. The guard had already demanded a trade at the beginning of the offseason and repeatedly made it clear that he never wanted to play for the 76ers again. Among other things, he called Daryl Morey a liar and stayed away from training several times without an excuse.

In Los Angeles he now forms a “Big Four” with Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and Russell Westbrook and supposedly makes the Clippers one of the top contenders in the West. It can also be assumed that he will agree to a new, long-term contract with the Clippers. His current contract ends next summer.

Curry again with a top performance

Steph Curry delivered another incredible performance, leading the Golden State Warriors to victory against the New Orleans Pelicans. In the safe success, Curry was on the floor for 42 points in half an hour. He hit 7 of his 13 three-pointers and 15 of his 22 shots.

The 35-year-old confirms his hot start to the season. After four games, Curry has almost 34 points per game and is hitting an average of almost half of his three-pointers per game.

The Warriors have won three of their first four games and are the best team in the Western Conference behind the still undefeated Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks.

New details about the In-Season Tournament

The upcoming start of the in-season tournament is also reflected visually in the arenas. The NBA announced yesterday that each indoor floor of the 30 teams will have a special design for the new tournament.

In all designs, the new trophy, the NBA Cup, is depicted large in the center circle. The new look is intended to give the in-season tournament games, which begin this Friday, a different look than normal regular season games, emphasizing the importance of the games.
